A window into the past

Did you guys know that when you're looking up at the night sky, what you're actually seeing is the past?

The light from stars takes millions of years to reach our little eyes. Even traveling at the speed of light, (186,282 miles per second) it takes that long. So by the time it has reached us, that star could have already died.

Isn't that amazing? Those stars could already be dead, yet we see them as alive.

Yah, I've been incredibly interested in the world around us lately and am doing TONS of reading.

Next I'm going to learn about string theory.
